Edelweiss flies from Zurich to Colombia for the first time
On Wednesday, 22 November the first Edelweiss flight to Bogotá with the onward flight to Cartagena took place.
The seasonal two weekly flight took place with the ceremonial ribbon cut at the gate D43 at Zurich Airport. Together with the crew, Francisco Javier Echeverri Lara, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Switzerland, and Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss, cut the ribbon and the cake. Following the ceremony, the Edelweiss Airbus A340 took off for Colombia.
From now until the end of May, Edelweiss will be flying non-stop from Zurich to Bogotá on
Wednesdays and Sundays, then on to Cartagena and back non-stop to Zurich.
