New Direct Non-stop Route from Aalborg to Verona
From spring 2026, it will be easier than ever for to experience the wonders of Northern Italy. The Spanish airline Volotea is launching a new direct non-stop route from Aalborg Airport to Verona. In addition to direct flights to the iconic medieval city, the route opens even more opportunities to explore Northern Italy – with a wide selection of new and exciting package holidays from, among others, NILLES Rejser and Gislev Rejser.
Verona is a Northern Italian city known as the setting of Romeo and Juliet and a popular destination for lovers of culture, city life, and nature. It is therefore fantastic news that, from April 2026, Volotea will offer direct non-stop flights to Verona, and opening a gateway to the entire northern Italian region – where Lake Garda, the Dolomites, and cities such as Venice, Bologna, and Milan are all within a few hours’ travel.

The new direct connection to Verona perfectly complements the North Jutland travel operators who offer experience-rich tours to Northern Italy. Volotea Expands Its Network in Western Denmark
With the new route, Volotea strengthens its presence in the western Danish market after several successful years operating the direct non-stop route to Naples. Given the strong demand for Northern Italy—particularly from Danish travel agencies—expectations are high for the new connection to Verona, where Volotea this year celebrates its 10th anniversary with a base in Verona.

The route will be operated with an Airbus A320, departing from Aalborg every Thursday at 12.50 p.m. from April 2 to July 23, and again from August 27 to October 22, 2026.
