Lodz Airport doubles the offer of holiday charters

It is the third year in a row of double growth in charter flights in Lodz Airport.

Next year Lodz Airport doubles the offer of holiday charters.
This year, more than 32,000 passengers flew on vacation from Łódź, but the season is not over yet. The airport estimates that it will handle 35,000 summer passengers by the end of October. It is the third year in a row of double growth in charter flights at Lodz Airport.

"It was a very good season. We have rebuilt the trust of tour operators in Lodz Airport. Last summer we had only two summer connections: to Burgas and Antalya. This year, five planes a week fly to Burgas, Antalya and Zakynthos. We are already looking forward to next year where 11 planes will fly from Lodz to our favourite summer destinations every week. And this may not be the end of directions for summer 2020. We are constantly working on expanding the offer”, announces Dr Anna Midera, President of Lodz Airport.

Passengers using summer charters are not only residents of Łódź and the province. Surveys conducted among travellers show that Łódź airport is also used by tourists from the Mazowieckie, Świętokrzyskie, Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Greater Poland provinces.

"Passengers from Płock, Kielce, Gdansk, Poznan and Warsaw flew from Lodz Airport on vacation. This shows that the offer of our airport is attractive in price, the airport itself is comfortable, especially for families with children, it is easy to reach even for passengers from outside our province,” says Artur Fraj, Commercial Director of the airport.

Already now you can buy next year's holiday departing from Łódź in all travel agencies, and the offer is much richer than before. In Greece, in addition to this year's hit, the island of Zakynthos, you can also relax in Rhodes, Corfu and Crete.

Adam Górczewski, the press spokesman for Grecos Holiday, announces that his travel agency will quadruple the offer from Łódź in the 2020 season. "Zakynthos is so popular here this year that we will add three more Greek destinations to the offer next year. As a specialist in great Greek holidays, we hope that thanks to flights from Lodz, tourists from this region will get to know even more parts of Greece and feel the hospitality of its inhabitants. "

According to Travelplanet.pl, which checks trends on the Polish tourism market, in 2019 Turkey was the most popular country among Polish tourists. In the summer of 2020, it will be possible to fly from Łódź to Turkish resorts in Antalya and Bodrum. Planes to Antalya will fly twice a week, which will allow you to plan a 10-day rest. As in previous years, Bulgaria has been on offer with departures from Łódź to Burgas.

Edyta Romanowska from Rainbow Travel Agency: "Our cooperation with the airport in Lodz is developing very well. And not at all because we have our headquarters in this city, but because customers who have so far flown on holiday from Warsaw are increasingly willing to take advantage of the opportunities we give them here on the spot. We are planning seven destinations from this airport in the new season, including four new ones: Rhodes, Corfu, Heraklion and Bodrum. "

Piotr Kołodziej, Regional Sales Manager at Neckermann Travel Agency: "We want to cooperate with the airport in Łódź and we will develop it further. For the Summer 2020 season, we offer departures from Łódź to Turkey, Crete and Bulgaria. The offer is now available in booking systems. "
