Lodz welcomes visitors again

Lodz city is opening and most service points, shops and tourist attractions are back.

Although COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet, life is slowly coming back to the city. Lodz is waking up and sanitary restrictions are lowered. Most of the service points and tourist attractions are now open. You can go shopping or go to the dentist, hairdresser or beautician without restrictions. Wearing face masks is still obligatory when indoors in public spaces like service points, restaurants, shops and public transport. Eateries and bars are open and serve customers outside and inside. The distance between tables are minimum 2 m and customers should wear face cover but not during consumption.

Also, other attractions like cinemas, theatres, museums and exhibition centres are mostly open and invite visitors. Detail information is available at Tourist Information Point which is open Monday to Sunday. Social gathering is allowed up to 150 participants so you can take part in smaller meetings or concerts, especially outside. Religious gatherings are generally without restrictions except the obligatory face covering when inside.

Sports lovers can practise again since sports centres and fitness clubs are open now. There are some extra sanitary requirements to make those places safe, so the distance between gym equipment is 2 m and it must be disinfected after each usage. Also, swimming pools and thermal pools are coming back to life. The thermal spa at Uniejow was reopened this month and is rebuilding its popularity. Outdoor sports are still most common, alone and in groups, and the summer weather makes them even more appealing. Parks and squares are open and popular among walkers, joggers and as picnic spots.
