Epic Games is a big American video game and software developer based in Cary, North California. The company was founded by Tim Sweeney as Potomac Computer Systems in 1991. Epic Games develops the Unreal Engine, a commercially available game engine that also powers their internally developed video games, such as Unreal, Gears of War, and Infinity Blade series.
They also developed and released the well-known online video game – Fortnite. It is a free, always evolving, multiplayer game. Fortnite is available in three distinct game mode versions that otherwise share the same general gameplay and game engine: Fortnite: Save the World; Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play battle royale game in which up to 100 players fight to be the last person standing; and Fortnite Creative, in which players are given complete freedom to create worlds and battle arenas.
