Wizz Air has landed at Lodz Airport Central Poland!

The new carrier, new route!

On Friday, December 16th the first Wizz Air aircraft landed at Lodz Airport, which simultaneously opened the new route to London Luton. The cabin crew and passengers were welcomed by a white fluff falling from the sky. The scenery was wonderful!

Wizz Air will fly between Lodz Airport and London Luton twice a week - on Mondays and Fridays (an extra flight will operate on the 21st of December).

Vice President of Lodz Mr. Adam Pustelnik said: “That's a good day for the city and for Lodz Airport. The personal involvement of Mrs. President Hanna Zdanowska has managed the resumption of the Wizz Air carrier to Lodz and we call it a big success. I hope citizens will choose new routes and tourists will come to our city. The rule is simple: the more routes and passengers, the better for the city's development, tourism, and promotion.”

Whereas the CEO of Lodz Airport Anna Midera also thinks it is a big day for the city and airport: "Today we have acquired a new low-cost carrier and a new route. We are convinced our collaboration will make a wide range of next routes. We estimate: in the next year we will operate ca. 335 thousand passengers.”

Artur Fraj, Director General of Łódź Airport: "The first Wizz Air flight from London Luton to Łódź landed in a snowstorm without a problem, our airport is ready for such situations, and even in extreme weather conditions like today. The Wizz Air aircraft arrived from London with a set of passengers. The connection is open, so I encourage everyone to fly. The good news is that ticket prices start at $ 69.”
