Oman Airports attends Routes Asia 2019, CEBU – Philippines

The month has come for the attendance of Routes Asia 2019!  This year in Cebu the Philippines, led by the commercial operational team Dr. Tibor Malihka, Airline Marketing Senior Manager and Dagmo Ahmed, Aviation Marketing Route Development Manager. The Conference opened its doors on the 10th to the 12th of March, aiming on one to one meetings with long haul legacy carriers and Low cost carrier airlines, in addition to networking opportunities with various airlines, airports, and tourism authorities.

Oman Airports’ goal at Routes Asia is to expand the network with new routes in the Far East and South East Asia, and to grow relations with Asian carriers for new business. Some of these countries include the Philippines, China, Singapore and Japan. The long term goal is to connect Asia to Africa as well as Asia to Europe via Oman.

Oman is working to building non-stop routes with Asian carriers and partner with Oman Air to boost the Muscat hub connectivity. Both Oman Airports and Oman Air have a close relationship and are working together to strengthen the transfer traffic via Muscat hub. Oman Airports aims to welcome new airlines to start operating in Muscat and Salalah during this year and more is planned to commence in 2020.

Oman Airports will also be attending World Routes and Routes Europe in 2019, eager to create more opportunities in route development.
