Flybe confirms the return of key summer routes from Newquay Cornwall Airport

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline and the UK’s Number One Domestic carrier, has confirmed that its popular seasonal routes to BelfastCity,Newcastle and Norwich will return next year as part of its summer schedule from Newquay Cornwall Airportin 2013.

Tickets for these routes have gone on sale this week joining those available to Glasgow through their franchise partner Loganair.

The returning routes to Norwich, Newcastle and Belfast City will all operate on a Saturday;  with flights to Glasgowon Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.  This brings Flybe’s summer schedule from Newquay to a total of six key regional destinations. 

Including up to three flights daily to London Gatwick and daily services to Manchester, Newquay Cornwall Airport continues to offer passengers connections worldwide through Flybe’s extensive network.  Both Manchester and Gatwick facilitate interline connections – these offer through ticketing between airlines when booked through travel agents.

Newquay Cornwall Airport’s Managing Director Al Titterington commented: “ Negotiating the return of these flights for 2013 is a great boost for the airport.  This year the new destinations were a popular addition to our summer schedule and to offer them to passengers next year indicates that there is a strong demand.  The airport is continually looking to improve the accessibility to and from Cornwall for both the business and leisure traveller and importantly to aid driving revenue for Cornish businesses during the summer months.”

Flybe’s full 2013 summer schedule, that includes these three returning routes from Newquay Cornwall, , features a total of 145 routes to a comprehensive choice of UK and European destinations offering travellers a choice of up to 3,080 flights a week. All are available for booking at www.flybe.com.
