WIZZ AIR is growing in Poznań!

Wednesday, 2019-06-26 - Official airline information -

Wizz Air, the fastest growing airline in Europe and the largest low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, today announces a new route from Poznań to Kutaisi in Georgia, as well as the resumption of the Poznań - Birmingham route. Flights on each route will take place twice a week. Flights from Poznań to Kutaisi and Birmingham will start on 16 and 18 September, respectively. Tickets are available on wizzair.com.

Kutaisi, known for its beautiful gardens and tree-lined avenues, is the second largest city in Georgia. His most famous monument is the 11th-century ruin of the Bagrati cathedral, which is a protected UNESCO monument. Thanks to the convenient location of the city, tourists can easily reach Tbilisi, as well as Batumi, located on the Black Sea.

The first WIZZ flight took place from Poland in May 2004. Since then, the line has been constantly developing the connection network. Over 70 million passengers took advantage of the line offer in Poland. In 2018, nearly 10 million WIZZ customers chose flights on the Polish route network, an increase of 14% compared to the previous year. Wizz Air not only offers attractive travel options at affordable prices, but also influences the development of the Polish economy and stimulates the labor market in the aviation and tourism industry, thus supporting over 9,000 jobs each year in sectors indirectly related to the operation of the airline in the country.

Paulina Gosk, manager of corporate communication at Wizz Air , said: "We are happy to add attractive routes to the ever-growing network of connections from Poland. We are convinced that our offer to Georgia, famous for its hospitality and rich history, will quickly gain popularity among our clients looking for a low summer holiday destination. At the same time, the route from Poznań to Birmingham highlights our commitment to operating in Poland to offer our clients more and more low-cost travel options. Tickets for new connections are available now and their prices start from PLN 39 on wizzair.com. Our Polish crew cordially invites you on board!
