Tbilisi Airport welcomes the first Tel Aviv flights of El Al Airlines

Tbilisi International Airport, operated by TAV Georgia, welcomed the first flight from Tel Aviv performed by Israeli company El Al Airlines on June 7, 2016. Tbilisi International Airport hosted a celebration cocktail attended by the representatives of TAV Georgia, EL AL Airlines, Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, United Airports of Georgia and Georgian National Tourism Administration.
El Al Airlines will perform direct flights between Tbilisi and Tel Aviv every Tuesday via Boeing 738/739 type aircrafts. El Al Airlines already performs regular flights from Batumi to Tel Aviv. Also, Airzena, Arkia and ISR Air are the other airlines that perform Tbilisi-Tel Aviv flights.
TAV Georgia provided services to more than 2 million passengers at Batumi and Tbilisi airports in 2015 with a 16 percent increase when compared to the previous year.
