In May this year Chopin airport served 1.65 million passengers

Each subsequent month brings a new record to the capital port in the number of people checked in. In comparison to May 2018, the increase was almost 9 percent

Since the beginning of the year, more than 6.8 million passengers have used the services of Chopin Airport, which, similarly to May, means an increase of 9%. Over 6.1 million people traveled in international traffic (an increase of over 9%), and almost 690,000. in domestic traffic (an increase of approx. 4%).

In the summer season 2019, Chopin Airport offers 121 regular destinations to 54 countries operated by 27 carriers and 68 charter destinations to 21 countries operated by 24 carriers. As of June 1, LOT Polish Airlines has flights to Miami, which are performed 4 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Also in June, passengers of Chopin Airport will benefit from the new offer of flights to Varna from June 9, once a week and from June 14 to Beirut, 4 times a week.

The role of the capital port - as an important interchange point in Central Europe - continues to grow. Warsaw, maintains its high position on the map of international flights. At present, almost one third of passengers are people who treat Chopin Airport as a transit point in their journey.

The above increases occurred during the DS1 shutdown. Modernization of the road, according to the plan, is to end on June 30, 2019. The restoration of the excluded lane and new flight offers will probably bring new records for Chopin Airport in the coming months.
