New security and passport control booths for Non Schengen passengers

Faster security check and shorter queues for passport control - from mid-December passengers from the Non Schengen countries will benefit from new border control booths.

Currently at the Chopin Airport terminal, the passport and security control booths at level 0 (for Non Schengen area) are being rebuilt. The investment is aimed at improving passengers comfort and increasing the capacity of the capital's airport. After the construction, the number of passport control booths will increase from 6 to 9, which will certainly shorten the control waiting time for passengers from the Non Schengen area.

The end of modernization at the control zone (level 0) is planned for mid-December this year. Therefore, the Chopin Airport authorities have made an important decision related to passenger service. For the time of the most intensive construction works, the service of all incoming traffic from the Non Schengen area at level 0 have been moved at level 2 of the Terminal.

However this decision only affects passengers of those airlines whose planes stop at positions distant from the Terminal itself. In such cases, travelers are transported by bus to the Terminal, then by a staircase and ramp (and in selected connectors also by elevator) they get to level 2 of the Terminal, where are located passports control booths of the Schengen area.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
