Year-Round Routes and New Market Enhance Connectivity at Cyprus Airports

With the latest additions to its winter schedule, Cyprus Airports are preparing for a busy season ahead. The launch of new destinations and year-round routes by Wizz Air and Cyprus Airways, along with the opening of a new market—Bosnia & Herzegovina—further strengthens the island’s connectivity and broadens travel options for passengers.

Wizz Air Expands its Network

Wizz Air is strengthening its presence at Larnaka Airport with the launch of three new routes:

  • Larnaka to Gyumri, Armenia: Starting 30 September 2025, Wizz Air will operate twice-weekly flights between the Armenian city of Gyumri, Armenia, and Larnaka, adding a second destination to Armenia in its Cyprus network.
  • Larnaka to Venice, Italy: A new direct route to Venice, launching in December adds a popular European destination to Cyprus Airports winter schedule.
  • Larnaka to Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina: This new route opens up a brand-new market for Cyprus airports, enhancing connectivity with the Balkans and supporting inbound and outbound travel between Cyprus and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

With these new routes, the airline’s network in Cyprus now includes more than 35 destinations.

Cyprus Airways Adds Heraklion to Its Network

Cyprus Airways is launching a new route from Larnaka to Heraklion, Crete, providing a convenient link to one of Greece’s most visited cities. The airline will operate flights twice a week starting in December, introducing a second connection between Cyprus Airports and Crete—alongside the existing Pafos–Chania route.

These network expansions not only enhance Cyprus Airports’ connectivity but also underscore the island’s positioning as a competitive, year-round destination. By unlocking new markets and introducing sustainable routes across Europe and the broader region, partner airlines demonstrate their confidence in Cyprus’ long-term potential, actively contributing to the growth of the country’s tourism and aviation sectors across all seasons.
