Wizz Air and Ryanair Strengthen Operations in Cyprus with New Routes to Bratislava and Amman

Cyprus continues to cement its role as a year-round destination, with leading European carriers expanding their networks from the island. Wizz Air and Ryanair have both announced new routes that enhance travel options for residents and visitors alike.

From January 2026, Wizz Air will launch a direct route between Larnaka Airport (LCA) and Bratislava (BTS), Slovakia, operating twice weekly, with frequency increasing to three times per week during the summer season. The service reflects not only the demand for affordable Central European city breaks but also the growing appeal of Cyprus as a winter and year-round leisure destination.

Meanwhile, Ryanair is strengthening Cyprus’s connectivity to the Middle East with a new direct route from Pafos Airport (PFO) to Amman (AMM), operating five times per week. This service is part of Ryanair’s expanded winter network from its Pafos base, which now offers more than 25 destinations.

These additions come on top of more than ten new routes introduced for the winter season. Collectively, these launches highlight a broader trend: airlines are increasingly recognizing Cyprus as a strategic destination for year-round travel.
