Cyprus Airports Gain New Routes as Airlines Grow Their Presence

Cyprus Airports continue to expand their international network, with new routes and the entry of additional airline partner further strengthening the country’s connectivity with key European destinations, while also opening Kazakhstan as a new market for Cyprus’ air network, enhancing links with Central Asia.

Wizz Air is expanding its network with two new destinations. Flights between Cyprus and Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, will operate from April through October with up to two daily frequencies, connecting the two countries for the first time, while a new service to Varna, Bulgaria, will run three times weekly from June through October, supporting both regional tourism and short-haul travel demand.

At the same time, Air Astana will enter the Cyprus market for the first time, launching two seasonal connections from Larnaka airport. The airline will operate twice-weekly flights to Astana and to Almaty from July through August, strengthening Cyprus’ links with Kazakhstan and expanding connectivity between Central Asia and the Mediterranean region.

Further strengthening Cyprus’ connectivity with the German market, Lufthansa will introduce a new route linking Pafos Airport with Munich, operating three weekly flights from April.

The addition of these new routes, together with the entry of a new carrier, highlights the continued growth of Cyprus Airports’ network and reinforces the country’s position as an increasingly important gateway during the peak summer season.
