Tampere to attend Routes Europe 2026 and Tourism Sustainability Summit

TAMPERE, Finland – Tampere will participate in the upcoming Routes Europe 2026 and the Tourism Sustainability Summit, continuing its active work in strengthening international connectivity and sustainable destination development.
At Routes Europe, Tampere will focus on discussions with airlines and key industry stakeholders around future route opportunities and the development of long-term connectivity. In the current market environment, where capacity remains constrained, the approach is firmly on realistic, business-driven growth and strengthening existing network structures.
Tampere will attend the event as part of a shared stand together with Finavia, in cooperation with other Finnish regional destinations. This joint presence reflects a broader national approach to improving Finland’s international accessibility and engaging with airline partners in a coordinated way.
The Tampere delegation will be available for meetings throughout the event and welcomes discussions with airlines interested in developing connectivity to the region, particularly through hub-based solutions linking Tampere to wider global networks.
In parallel, Tampere will also participate in the Tourism Sustainability Summit, where the focus is on the evolving role of sustainability in tourism development. The discussions are recognising that sustainable tourism and connectivity are increasingly interlinked.
Through its participation in both events, Tampere aims to further strengthen collaboration with industry partners and contribute to shaping future connectivity in a way that supports both regional growth and long-term sustainability.
