Frontier Scientific Solutions and ATSG launch Shannon-Wilmington service for life sciences

Frontier Scientific Solutions (FSS) announced (23-Oct-2025) the initial schedule for nonstop Shannon-Wilmington service, effective from Oct-2025. The service operates three times weekly with Boeing 767F equipment in partnership with Air Transport Services Group (ATSG). FSS stated the service is "the world's first dedicated life science air route schedule between the EU and the US" and "the first fully dedicated, temperature-controlled network of its kind".

Aer Lingus to launch Dublin-Raleigh service as part of 'largest' trans Atlantic schedule for 2026

Aer Lingus announced (17-Sep-2025) plans to launch up to five times weekly Dublin-Raleigh service with A321XLR equipment on 13-Apr-2026. The route forms part of the carrier's "largest ever trans Atlantic summer schedule" for 2026, which also includes:

  • Increase frequencies from Dublin to New York JFK and Boston from twice to three times weekly;
  • Increase frequencies from Dublin to Nashville and Indianapolis from four to five times weekly;
  • Increase frequency from Dublin to Orlando to daily during peak summer;
  • Increase Shannon-Boston frequency from daily to 10 times weekly in peak summer.

Aer Lingus CEO Lynne Embleton stated: "In addition to new this new route, our 2026 plans reflect another year of growth with increased frequency on our established network, and more choice for our customers". The airline will serve 26 destinations across North America in 2026.

Delta Air Lines to increase capacity on New York JFK-Shannon service in summer 2025

Shannon Airport announced (20-May-2025) Delta Air Lines plans to increase capacity on seasonal daily New York JFK-Shannon service in summer 2025. The service will be operated with 216 seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft and is scheduled to run until 20-Sep-2025.
