Route Exchange - Airline Requirements

Last updated: Mar 15, 2012

We are delighted with the response to our Request for Proposal though Route Exchange.  We have been overwhelmed by the high quality and comprehensive submissions from our airport, tourism authority and government stakeholders.

We believe Route Exchange has proven to be a secure platform that provides a unique avenue for airlines and airports to cooperate and has specifically provided us the following benefits.

  • A. Being transparent to all airports on our requirements and establishing a clear process to compare and evaluate airports in Europe fairly
  • B. Allowed us to efficiently evaluate the European opportunities in relation to our requirements

AirAsia X has reached a decision on the short listed airports, taking into account the proposals received, our business requirements and the prevailing market conditions.  All the airports that submitted a proposal will receive a confidential response.

We appreciate the role Routesonline provides in connecting the route development community and we will continue to use Routesonline for news and market intelligence from airports.  This notification will mark the end of our Europe RFP via Route  Exchange.

Thank you.
