CLE is the ideal secondary US international gateway, roughly halfway between major airports on the U.S. Eastern Seaboard (JFK, BOS, IAD) and Chicago (ORD) allowing for convenient flight connections throughout the U.S. without air traffic congestion and delays. CLE is a medium sized hub airport with approximately 12 million passengers annually and is the home of Continental Airline's Midwest hub operations. Over 4.5 million residents live in the close-in catchment area of Northeast Ohio adjacent to CLE.
