Status update: “is attending Routes Europe 2012”
Facts (Overview)
Situated at the southernmost tip of Europe, at the entrance to the Mediterranean and in an enviable geographical location. At present there are three scheduled airlines operating into Gibraltar, with a fourth starting in 2012:
bmibaby - EMA* British Airways - LHR EasyJet - LGW & LPL Monarch Airlines - LTN & MAN
* Starts March 2012
With routes currently to the South-East, North-West and the Midlands of the UK, there is untold potential in opening up links with other destinations in the UK and mainland Europe. Gibraltar International Airport is free of slot constraints and this proves to be an incentive to airlines wishing to operate to The Rock.
