Frontier Airlines Launches Service to Five Destinations from Pittsburgh

Low Fare Service to Atlanta, Chicago-O’Hare, Denver, Las Vegas and Orlando

Frontier Airlines is launching new service in Pittsburgh this week beginning June 15 to Orlando (MCO). Additional new flights will commence to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) June 16 followed by new service to Atlanta (ATL), Denver (DEN) and Las Vegas (LAS) on June 17.

“Frontier’s arrival into our market with five nonstop destinations demonstrates the positive momentum of our region and Pittsburgh International Airport,” Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald said. “It’s truly exciting to announce a new airline that will serve our region and take advantage of the pent-up demand here. We welcome Frontier as they open travel opportunities for even more people in our region.”

“We’re thrilled that Frontier has recognized the need for additional nonstop service from Pittsburgh to key business and leisure markets and we look forward to partnering with them as we move forward,” Pittsburgh International Airport CEO Christina Cassotis said. “The fact that Frontier is introducing five major markets demonstrates how underserved our market is.”

“Travelers in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania have told us that they want more low fare options,” said Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President – Commercial. “Pittsburgh is a market where we are thrilled to offer travelers low-fare service to Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas and Orlando. Frontier is looking forward to welcoming new passengers on-board and introducing them to our Low Fares Done Right hospitality.”

Frontier joins Allegiant, OneJet, Porter, Southern Airways Express and Vacation Express as carriers that have begun serving Pittsburgh during the last two years. Pittsburgh International Airport proudly offers travelers a growing selection of 56 nonstop destinations on 13 airlines.
