Emirates is the world’s largest international airline in scheduled passenger kilometres flown and in carried 39.4 million passengers in the 2012-13 financial year – an increase of more than five million than the year before.
Based in Dubai, one of the few cities in the world that pursues an open-skies policy, Emirates operates alongside more than 150 other airlines in free and fair competition.

Its all wide-bodied fleet of 203 aircraft includes ten freighters and is among the youngest in the skies. The airline plans to more than double its size by 2020.

Emirates operates services to more than 130 destinations in 76 countries in Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent and Asia-Pacific.
