Icelandair goes Daily from Orlando

Reykjavik, Iceland, February 15, 2018– Today, Icelandair announces they will increase the frequency of their seasonal flights from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Starting September 30, 2018 a sixth weekly flight will be added to Icelandair’s network and on October 3, 2018 the airline will begin daily service from MCO.

Icelandair has been in operation since 1937 and Orlando has been an integral part of their history since the 1980’s.  As an aviation pioneer, Icelandair continues to grow by adding new aircraft to its modern fleet, more destinations, and popular amenities including personal in-flight entertainment and gate-to-gate Wi-Fi access available on all routes. Daily service from MCO will better serve passengers from Florida wanting to explore Iceland and beyond and Icelanders and Europeans eager to experience all that Orlando has to offer, including nearby beaches, family friendly activities and of course, Disneyworld.

“Continued growth by our airline partners is affirmation that Central Florida continues to be a top global destination,” says Phil Brown, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “We are pleased with Icelandair’s decision to expand to daily service at Orlando International Airport opening even more business and leisure travel opportunities between our two regions.”
