About The Airline
Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) is the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As an economic enabler for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the company's motto is " The wings of Kingdom's Vision 2030". The country’s ambitious plan targets to host one hundred million tourists and more than 330 million airport pax a year by 2030. With its long heritage, vast resources, and expansive outreach, Saudia is a key player to achieve these targets.
The 78 years old airline is an active member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO). In 2023 the airline carried more than 30 million passengers and flew to more than 100 destinations across four continents. SAUDIA flew more than 176 thousands flights by a mix of the latest Airbus and Boeing aircraft including the Boeing 777-300, Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A330 Regional, A321NEO and A320 NEO. Currently, SAUDIA operates around 152 of aircraft of its own along with serveral leased aircraft that serve the growing seasonal traffic. With big plans for the future, SAUDIA ordered 49 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
2023 was yet another year of recognition for SAUDIA. The Saudi legacy flag carrier was recognized by industry leading organizations in efficiency, sustainability, brand recognition and service. SAUDIA was ranked ninth in OTP among global airlines by Cirium. SAUDIA also received a WORLD CLASS classification by APEX. SAUDIA advanced eleven positions in Skytrax ranking.
SAUDIA has been an active member of SkyTeam alliance since 2012 along with twenty other airlines. The airline has codeshare partnership with: Garuda Indonesia, Czech Airlines, Etihad Airways, China Southern Airlines, Air France, Royal Air Maroc, Alitalia, Korean Airlines, KLM, Middle East Airlines, Aeroflot, Air Europa, and Oman Air. In 2023, SAUDIA received two Awards in SkyTeam Sustainable Flight Challenge.
SAUDIA is currently on an accelerated transformation track, revitalizing every aspect of its airline business, from operations to fleet management, network growth and optimization; guest experience and expanding Hajj and Umrah capacity.
