About The Airline

We are a member of Star Alliance and Greece’s largest Airline, providing at our inception in 1999 until today, full service, premium quality, short and medium haul services.

On the 23rd of October 2013, we acquired Olympic Air; as a result, passengers are now provided with increased flight frequencies and connections as well as improved accessibility to Greece’s islands, including some of the more remote. We invest in strengthening our international presence and supporting the Greek tourism both in Athens and regional airports.

As an outcome of our efforts, in 2019 we transferred 15 million passengers, 7% more passengers than in 2018.

AEGEAN has been honored with the Skytrax World Airline award, as the best European regional airline in 2018. This was the 9th time we received the relevant award. Among other distinctions, AEGEAN captured 5th place, for the second consecutive year, in the world's 20 best airlines list (outside the U.S.) in 2018 Readers' Choice Awards survey of Conde Nast Traveler.

In line with this, our 2020 timetable includes a network of 155 destinations, 31 domestic and 124 international in 44 countries. AEGEAN has a total of 8 bases; primary one is Athens while aircraft are also based in 6 other Greek airports (Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rhodes, Chania, Kalamata, Corfu) and 1 in Cyprus (Larnaca).

AEGEAN fleet as of February 2020 consists of 11 AIRBUS A321ceo, 37 AIRBUS A320ceo, 3 A320neo , 1 AIRBUS A319, 2 Dash 8-100, 10 Dash8-Q400 and 2 ATR42-600.
