A festive meeting of the one-millionth passenger for the year at Varna Airport

Fraport Twin Star Airport Management welcomed its 1 million passenger for 2016 on 11th August at Varna Airport.
This year the important guest is arriving nearly half a month earlier, compare to 2015.
Mr. Michal Masny arrived in Varna with a flight of the Polish airline “Enter Air” from Katowice and was welcomed from the CEO of Fraport Twin Star Mr. Ulrich Heppe and the director of Varna Airport- Mr. Dimitar Kostadinov.
Michal is coming to Bulgaria for a first time and together with his friend Dominika are going to stay in a hotel in the resort “St. St Konstantin and Elena “, for a week.
Michal is 27 years old and is working as a machine constructor, while his friend Dominika is a finance student.
They shared with the press that have chosen Bulgarian Black Sea coast because of the good weather, the sea, good value for money, great comments of other Polish tourist about the country and because it is a safe place.
A special surprise in a form of inflatable beach balls, was provided by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management for all tourists arriving at Varna Airport at the same time with the 1-millionth passenger. This present express the company wishes for a pleasant holiday over the beautiful coast along Black Sea towards all arrivals.
According to the tradition the 1- millionth passenger was welcomed at the airport with an official ceremony and received many gifts from Fraport Twin Star - operator of Varna Airport, the Duty Free operator Nuance and water park " Aquapolis" Golden Sands.
The 1-millionth passenger and his friend were taken to the hotel where they will be accommodated with Mini Cooper, which was specially branded for the event.
During this year Varna Airport is handling flights from six Polish destinations: Katowice, Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Krakow. The Polish tourists marked an increase of approximately two-fold compare to last year. Since the beginning of the year until now at Varna Airport are served over 80,000 passengers to and from Poland.
It is expected the growth of all serviced passengers for 2016 at Varna Airport to be around 20% which is a record for the last 10 years.
