Against the backdrop of growing Vietnam-Japan air connectivity, on 5 March 2026, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) held a working meeting with Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) to further strengthen the sister airport relationship between the two sides. ACV and Chubu Centrair signed the Sister Airport Agreement (SAA) in 2019 and have since maintained regular and continuous cooperation, building a long-term and sustainable partnership.

During the meeting, both sides positively reviewed the outcomes of their cooperation in recent years, particularly in route network development, service quality improvement, human resource training, and tourism promotion. In addition to cooperation at the corporate level, NGO has also maintained close coordination with ACV’s key airports, including Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport, sharing operational experience and contributing to improved passenger experience.
Within this cooperation framework, on 3 March 2026, Noi Bai International Airport hosted a specialized working session with experts from Chubu International Airport Co., Ltd. (CJIAC). The two sides discussed the implementation results of previous service improvement recommendations, updated ongoing projects, and exchanged experience in maintaining high airport service standards in Japan. The CJIAC delegation also conducted a site visit to Terminal 2, expressing strong impressions of the newly upgraded facilities, including the self-service check-in kiosks, auto-gates, and other passenger amenities.

Looking ahead, ACV and CJIAC agreed to continue maintaining regular exchanges, jointly promote destinations, and explore the potential for launching direct flights between Da Nang and Nagoya. Ongoing cooperation between the two sides is expected to further strengthen their strategic partnership while enhancing air connectivity and economic–tourism exchanges between Vietnam and Japan.
