Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) will open on Sunday 25 October, as Sydney's only 24/7 airport.
The opening of WSI marks a new era in Australian aviation, creating a 24/7 market for airline growth, flexibility, and enhanced aircraft utilisation opportunities. For travellers, WSI offers a faster, seamless travel experience to one of the world's sought-after destinations.
Domestic network
From 25 October 2026, Jetstar’s flight to the Gold Coast marks our first passenger flights and will operate daily services demonstrating strong market demand.
Jetstar and Qantas will also connect WSI with Melbourne and Brisbane, providing access to Australia's three largest domestic destinations.
International network
WSI's international services starts from 26 October with Air New Zealand launching three weekly services to Auckland.
- Singapore Airlines: daily connectivity from 23 November with an overnight departure from Sydney to Singapore.
- From January 2027, VietJet Air commences twice- weekly services to Ho Chi Minh City increasing to three flights per week from March
- VietJet Thailand has also announced plans to launch services to Bangkok from November 2027
- From March 2027 Fiji Airways connects WSI with the Pacific and beyond with late night departures to provide convenient arrival times into Fiji for both business and leisure travellers.

WSI is connected across Sydney and beyond as 65% of Sydney's population are with a ~45minute drive to WSI by car, rideshare or taxi via the new toll-free M12 motorway and connects seamlessly with Sydney's wider motorway network to the M7, M4 and M5.
