About The Airport
WSI. Welcome to Sydney's new 24/7 airport.
Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) will operate 24/7 from late 2026. WSI is attracting early airline commitments - delivering what airlines have been waiting for, greater flexibility and access to Sydney at a time of your choosing.
Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines have released their first ticket sales from WSI confirming Western Sydney’s emergence as Sydney’s new major 24/7 gateway. With direct services connecting Singapore and Auckland, WSI will enable strategic growth for both carriers in the Sydney market, unlocking new demand, greater connectivity and the ability to operate optimal schedules. Inaugural flights from WSI start in October. WSI’s first domestic airlines will be Qantas and Jetstar.
Centrally located 45 minutes from the Sydney CBD and 20 minutes from Parramatta, a key business and cultural centre, WSI is strategically located in Australia’s third largest and thriving business economy. WSI provides airlines with direct access to Sydney’s fastest growing area and a catchment of approximately 3 million people. As Sydney’s only 24/7 airport, WSI offers unrestricted operations and the opportunity to secure an early presence in a high growth market, delivering unparalleled access to Sydney.
65% of Sydney’s population are within a 45 minute drive, rideshare or taxi to WSI via the toll-free M12 motorway connecting to the M7, M4, M5 and A9.
Trans-Tasman 3x weekly with Air New Zealand: From 26 October, Air New Zealand will operate three weekly morning flights between WSI and Auckland. Giving travellers more choice across the Tasman while strengthening trans-Tasman connectivity for one of Australia’s largest New Zealand communities. The service enhances both business and leisure travel and introduces a new point of entry to the Sydney basin.
Singapore Airlines launches daily flights to WSI: Singapore Airlines daily late‑night departure from WSI unlocks seamless connections to more than 130 destinations across Asia, Europe, Africa and beyond. This schedule is made possible by WSI’s unrestricted 24/7 operations, giving airlines the freedom to design optimised networks, increase flexibility for customers, and tap into new demand at times traditional curfew‑restricted airports cannot support.
