Kraków (KRK) – Venice (VCE) route with easyJet has launched

On Thursday (3rd NOVEMER 2016), Kraków Airport and easyJet have launched the next new direct destination from Kraków to Venice. Flights are scheduled three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Route will be served by Airbus A320/A321. The new connection will be available year round.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony carried out by representatives of the airport and the carrier: President of Kraków Airport Management Board, Radosław Włoszek, Ground Operations Manager Germany, Austria, Croatia, Poland & Slovenia - Russ Smith as well as crew of the inaugural flight, Kraków Airport has prepared a surprise for passengers.

All departing passengers passed through a gate of balloons in the colours of the carrier-easyJet prepared specially for this occasion, were treated to a tiramisu.

Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is situated 12 km north of the centre of Venice. Landing on it you can admire the historic and picturesque city skyline with the dominant Basilica of Saint Mark or the largest and most important water artery Venice-Grand Canal.

Between the airport and Venice there are water taxis and motorboats, several bus lines, there is also a railway connection. The airport is accessible from the highway.

Situated on the Adriatic Venice is known as the most beautiful city in the world. It is worth to go to Venice in winter, especially during Carnival. Venice Carnival is the oldest and largest in Europe. "Ballrooms" is St. Mark's square or so-called Piazzetta, which is located near to St. Mark's square.
