Wizz Air deploys 6th aircraft at Katowice Airport and announces a new route to the Croatian seaside

Starting June we will fly from Katowice twice a week to Split, Croatia, the perfect destination for your next summer holiday! A 6th aircraft will join our Katowice base, which also allows to launch 4 new routes to Malta, Catania, Lisbon, and Reykjavik!

The aircraft represents an investment of $98 million by WIZZ in Katowice, creating 36 additional direct jobs with the airline. We now have more than 200 dedicated local crew based at Katowice Airport, who deliver excellent on board service on each WIZZ flight. Since our first flight in 2004, we have constantly expanded our Katowice network. In 2016, we carried over 1,6 million passengers on our Katowice routes supporting more than 1,200 local jobs
