MRS Winter schedule unveils new network developments!

The new schedule for winter 2017/2018 has been launched on Sunday October 29th. With 12 new routes, including 5 new destinations, passengers will be offered even more choices for their next trip.

5 new destinations to extend summer program

Palma de Mallorca (1 weekly with Vueling), Edinburg and Valencia (2 weekly with Ryanair), London-Luton and Venice (respectively 4 and 3 weekly with easyJet) will complete winter schedule.

And a brand new one, Krakow (KRK), will be linked twice a week to Marseille Provence for the very first time, with Ryanair.

New services to existing destinations

  • Long Haul wise, Air Austral has started its operations in October to Saint Denis de la Reunion (RUN) twice weekly, and completes XL Airways’ 1 weekly.
  • After some good results this summer, Air Transat decided to extend its schedule to YUL until mid-November.
  • XL Airways will operate to West Indies on both FDF and PTP from January to April 2018, on specific dates.  
  • Cape Verde (Sal) and Lapland (Ivalo) will benefit from special charter flights, thanks to Tour Operators Heliades and La française des circuits.

Capacity/frequency increase

  • Vueling adds frequencies on Algiers, Barcelona and Rome.
  • Tunisair significantly increases its operations to TUN offering 2 or 3 daily flights.
  • Turkish Airlines will fly daily to IST (compared to 5 weekly last winter)
  • Pegasus will reinforce its service to SAW from 2 to 4 weekly flights.
  • Brussels Airlines upgauges its operations in A319 to BRU.
  • On Long Haul, Aigle Azur will increase frequencies from 2 to 3 weekly flights to Dakar.

Looking towards Summer 2018

Winter schedule will end on 24 March 2017, and couple of developments for next summer have already been revealed:

  • Volotea will base 2 aircrafts in MRS and will open 8 new routes (Greek and Balearic islands, Biarritz and Caen in France) to reach a total of 18 destinations from Provence!
  • Ryanair will add a 31st destination from MRS operating twice weekly to FRA.
  • Swiss will finally land in Provence, offering 3 weekly flights to ZRH.
