Lufthansa with Route from Aalborg to Frankfurt

The German aviation mastodon, Lufthansa, has officially declared their entrance at Aalborg Airport with the establishment of a new direct route to Frankfurt.

The German airline, Lufthansa, announced Wednesday the 22nd of October that a new direct route with two daily departures will open from Aalborg Airport to Frankfurt the 30th of March 2015. The establishment of a Frankfurt route from Aalborg Airport will provide access to Lufthansa’s massive global network with over 200 destinations – providing another opportunity for the Jutes to travel the world; with easy access from Northern Jutland.

The Frankfurt route is going to be handled by Lufthansa CityLine, who will operate an aircraft of the type CRJ900, which seats 75 passengers distributed on Business Class and Economy Class. The published schedule of 2015 looks like this:

Lufthansa Offer 70,000 Seats

With Lufthansa's entrance at the airport – with a permanent Frankfurt route and two daily departures – Lufthansa offer 70,000 seats in 2015.

Aalborg Airport’s CEO, Søren Svendsen is understandably thrilled about Lufthansa’s entrance at the airport and the new daily Frankfurt route, where he states,

"In an effort to make Aalborg Airport more international and provide quality service for business travelers as well as leisure travelers in the best possible way, we look forward to welcome Lufthansa. Two daily flights to Frankfurt greatly strengthens the possibilities for effectively traveling the world from Aalborg Airport.”
