About The Airport
Izmir is Türkiye’s third most populous city, with a population of approximately 4.5 million. Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) handled 12.66 million passengers in 2025, representing a 10% increase compared with 11.51 million passengers in 2024. In 2025, the airport was served by 39 airlines and connected Izmir with 110 destinations.
ADB was named Best Regional Airport in Europe 2025 by Skytrax. It was also recognized in the ACI Airport Service Quality Awards as Best Airport in Europe in the 5–15 million passenger category, Most Enjoyable Airport in Europe, Easiest Airport Journey in Europe and Cleanest Airport in Europe. The airport is carbon neutral at Level 3+ of the ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation programme.
