WIZZ Air Announces the Opening of its Bratislava Base With Twelwe New Routes

The airline allocates two state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft at its new base at Bratislava Airport, opening on 14 November. Wizz Air will be flying from Bratislava to Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland and Norway already from this year.
Wizz Air, EMEA’s most environmentally sustainable airline1, today has announced the opening of its base in Bratislava and further expanding operations in Slovakia. The airline continues to offer more affordable travel options, meeting the growing demand for budget-friendly flights, with tickets already available online on Wizz Air’s official website and through its mobile app from as low as € 17.992.
With the allocation of two state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft by the end of the year at Bratislava Airport, the airline is happy to grow again its capacity from the country, adding almost a million seats for the upcoming year.
The expansion makes Wizz Air one of the largest airlines in Slovakia, consolidating its position as an accessible airline with one of the biggest route network serving the country’s three main airports at the lowest fares. Significantly improving Slovakia’s connectivity, Wizz Air will link Bratislava with Europe’s key cities and unlock new opportunities for travellers and economic development alike.
Wizz Air now offers 17 routes to ten countries from the country. New direct routes are already open for booking to Athens, Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga, Basel, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo, Niš, Plovdiv, Varna and Oslo.
