WIZZ AIR LAUNCHES INAUGURAL FLIGHT BETWEEN BRATISLAVA AND KOŠICE AND ANNOUNCES TWO NEW ROUTES FOR 2026

Bratislava, 21 November 2025 – Wizz Air today celebrated the inaugural flight on its new domestic route between Bratislava and Košice. The connection marks a significant milestone for air travel within Slovakia, strengthening mobility between the country’s two major cities and expanding Wizz Air’s footprint in the region.

 As part of the celebrations, Wizz Air also announced three upcoming routes that will enhance regional connectivity even further. In January 2026, the airline will introduce direct flights from Bratislava to both Kutaisi and Yerevan, each operating three times per week. In addition, the popular connection between Poprad-Tatry and Gdańsk will be extended until 5 June 2026, continuing twice weekly and offering travellers even more flexibility through the spring season.

With a flight time of under one hour, this route provides a fast and seamless connection between western and eastern Slovakia. We would like to thank Wizz Air for adding this domestic service to its network, alongside the many new international routes it will be operating from Bratislava.”
