Bratislava Airport Ranked Among the Top 10 Airports in Eastern Europe
M. R. Štefánik Airport has been ranked the 9th best airport in Eastern Europe. The ranking among the top 10 airports in the region was determined by passenger votes in the globally recognised aviation survey Skytrax – World Airport Awards 2026. The results of the survey, often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” were announced yesterday evening at an event in London.
Bratislava Airport is the only airport in Slovakia to be included in the top ten airports in Eastern Europe. „We highly value this result, as it is based on direct feedback from passengers evaluating their experience across a range of airport services, including check-in, arrivals and departures, shopping facilities, and security screening. It also represents the airport’s best result in the past three years.“ said Dušan Novota, CEO and Chairman of the Board of M. R. Štefánik Airport.
Bratislava Airport last appeared among the top airports in Eastern Europe in 2024, when it ranked 10th. In 2025, it did not place in the category.
The Skytrax – World Airport Awards is one of the most prestigious accolades in the aviation industry, awarded annually since 1999. The online passenger satisfaction survey was conducted from August 2025 to February 2026, with participation from travellers of more than 100 nationalities.
