Data Tech: Viracopos Expands Strategic Investments to Support Brazil’s New Data Center Era
Data Tech by Viracopos: dedicated infrastructure, specialized expertise, proven reliability, and operational excellence supporting the future growth of Data Centers in Brazil.
Driven by the accelerated expansion of Brazil’s digital infrastructure and the opportunities created by the Special Incentive Program for Data Center Implementation (REDATA), the Viracopos Cargo Terminal has launched the Data Tech Project, a strategic initiative designed to continuously enhance infrastructure, operational processes, and security standards for the handling of Data Center equipment.
As part of its commitment to operational excellence and customer-centric solutions, Viracopos has developed a dedicated framework to address the specific requirements of high-value, mission-critical, and highly sensitive cargo. The Data Tech Project represents a pioneering approach in the Brazilian market and encompasses a series of key enhancements:
Dedicated Area for Data Center Equipment
A secure and exclusive storage area has been established specifically for Data Center equipment, featuring dedicated signage, clearly defined operational zones, and controlled access protocols. This environment provides enhanced protection, organization, and security throughout the cargo’s dwell time at the terminal.
Specialized Team and Secure Handling Operations
Viracopos has implemented a dedicated team of highly trained professionals responsible for the specialized handling of Data Center equipment, including the proper securing of racks during internal movements. These procedures ensure maximum stability and risk mitigation during cargo handling operations. Supported by more than a decade of experience serving the sector, Viracopos has maintained an outstanding record of zero damage incidents over 13 years of Data Center cargo operations.
Greater Efficiency Through Process Automation
A differentiated and automated workflow has been introduced for the issuance of Import Cargo Delivery Authorizations (DAIs), significantly increasing speed, efficiency, and predictability throughout the cargo release process. The enhancement contributes to reduced processing times and a more seamless experience for customers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
The Data Tech Project further reinforces Viracopos’ position as Brazil’s leading logistics gateway for technology and digital infrastructure equipment, providing specialized capabilities, proven security, and operational excellence that meet the evolving demands of one of the country’s fastest-growing economic sectors.
