Serving 91 non-stop destinations, Ankara Esenboga International Airport (ESB) is the gateway of central Turkey to the world. ESB is located 28 km to the city center of Ankara.
Ankara Esenboga International Airport handled 14 million passengers in 2025, growing 9% vs. 2024. ESB received the ACI ASQ “Best Airport” Award in 2022. In 2025, it was selected as the “Best Regional Airport in Europe” by Skytrax and ranked among the Skytrax World’s Top 100 Airports. ESB became Türkiye’s first airport to achieve ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation Level 4+ and the country’s first carbon-neutral airport.
Ankara is the second biggest city of Turkey with a population of 5.8 million. It is the capital city of Turkey, hosting the Government bodies and all foreign embassies. TAV Airports extended Ankara Esenboga International Airport concession until 2050. TAV Airports will make an investment of approximately € 300 million to develop the gateway to the Turkish capital.
