Pittsburgh Announces Additional Nonstop Destinations on OneJet

Daily, nonstop service to Albany, NY and Richmond, VA brings Pittsburgh International's destination count to 67

OneJet, the air transportation network that provides increased access to nonstop travel, today announced the addition of two new nonstop routes from Pittsburgh International Airport.

Beginning in March, OneJet will introduce nonstop service to Richmond, VA and Albany, NY, reducing travel time between Pittsburgh and the respective cities to one hour on average.  The routes join a growing list of OneJet destinations from Pittsburgh, including Hartford, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Louisville, and most recently Cincinnati.

"OneJet's continued growth in the Pittsburgh region is evidence that our business community is strong and the demand is there for more nonstop service," Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald said. "OneJet has been a great partner and we're happy to see the business community taking advantage of these nonstop flights to important cities."

Flights to both cities will go on sale February 1st, with Richmond service beginning March 1st and Albany service on March 22nd.

Passengers on the routes will enjoy a variety of travel-enhancing benefits, including TSA Pre access for eligible travelers, expedited boarding, complimentary high speed in flight WIFI, and a selection of healthy snacks.

"Today's announcement represents a continued commitment to improving regional connectivity through providing accessible and convenient nonstop air service," stated OneJet's Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Maguire. "We're thrilled to continue our expansion in Pittsburgh and very pleased to welcome the Richmond and Albany communities to our network."

Providing increased connectivity to travelers in this market is a priority for Pittsburgh International Airport. "OneJet is an important part of the strategy at Pittsburgh International Airport to add nonstop service to key regional cities – like Albany and Richmond – not being served by traditional legacy carriers," Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO Christina Cassotis said. "This brings the total number of OneJet destinations to seven, delivering a continually growing array of regional travel options for our passengers."
