The Summer Season starts with a boom in passengers numbers at Turin Airport

New record in March with 376,814 passengers, up 8.8% and best month ever. Many new summer flights, to Copenhagen, Lisbon, Malaga, Seville and Pantelleria

Torino Airport registers a new passenger record, inaugurating positively the spring which is enriched with many new direct destinations. The month of March it closes with a record of traffic: 376,814 passengers, + 8.8% over the previous year, best month ever, surpassing the previous record of July 2016 by more than 12 thousand passengers.

So far this year, the Torino Airport has already carried more than one million passengers, recording in the first three months an increase by 7.7% compared to the same period of 2016. 

NEW DESTINATIONS

The first to debut among the new destinations announced in recent months from Blue Air is Copenhagen, to which it is possible to fly every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday since the last week.

On April 13, Blue Air will open a direct connection to the Romanian city of Oradea, located in the North West of Romania near the border with Hungary, operated every Thursday and Sunday. It will then be the turn of the Spanish cities linked with Torino for the first time: from 28 April, Blue Air will fly to Malaga every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from June 1st will be possible to reach Seville every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Finally, again from June 1st Lisbon will be linked by direct flight every Thursday and Sunday. News also from Volotea Airline, which inaugurates this year a new destination Turin: Pantelleria, reached every Saturday and Sunday from 25 May.

During the entire summer season will be also possible to fly to the new destinations added during past winter: for example to Moscow with S7 Airlines every Saturday and to Pescara every Monday, Wednesday and Friday thanks to Blue Air flights.

BALERIC ISLANDS

It is already possible to fly to Ibiza, a popular destination from Piedmont, with Ryanair every Monday and Friday, and from 1 JuneAlso Blue Air will fly the route every Thursday and Sunday throughout the summer. To stay in the Balearics, Blue Air will fly to Palma de Mallorca from June 3 every Tuesday and Saturday, which will add the frequencies of Volotea every Wednesday and Sunday from 25 June.

GREECE

Volotea has also confirmed for the 2017 summer flights to Skiathos, every Tuesday and Thursday from 27 June and Corfu, every Monday and Wednesday from 28 June.

 DESTINATIONS IN SOUTH ITALY

Besides all the aforementioned destinations, from Turin it is always possible to reach with direct flights Italian cities Alghero, Bari, Brindisi, Cagliari, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo and Roma and international destinations Amsterdam, Bacau, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Brussels Charleroi, Bucharest, Casablanca, Chisinau, Iasi, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London (Gatwick, Luton and Stansted), Luxembourg, Madrid, Malta, Monaco, Paris, and Valencia Tirana. Via its network of 11 international hub served by Turin, even destinations far away are easily reached with excellent connections.
