BSCA is in the chips: New FRITAPAPA chip shop

Charleroi, 05 July 2017 – A new outlet has recently opened at Brussels South Charleroi Airport. The chips are back in at BSCA. FRITAPAPA, which launched in January 2016, has come to Charleroi airport with a new outlet covering 30 square metres. Its super-efficient fryer and unusual decor make a change from the usual chip shop experience, to the delight of peckish passengers.

With the recent arrival of FRITAPAPA at Brussels South Charleroi Airport, one of Belgium’s icons comes back to the airport: chips. As in a traditional Belgian chip shop, the menu is diverse and varied, offering passengers the chance to enjoy a bag of chips served with a choice of meat. Whether you fancy a Frikandel or are hankering after a hamburger, there’s plenty to choose from for hungry travellers and their companions. FRITAPAPA plans to chip in to the customer experience at Brussels South Charleroi Airport.

The FRITAPAPA concept is summed up by Julien ABRAS, the company’s Founder and Director: “FRITAPAPA is a high-end fast-food restaurant franchise. The concept embraces everything you would expect from a traditional Belgian chip shop and adds some clever marketing and a great selection of quality products and services. It was clear that as we grow, the opportunity of having a presence in such a vibrant airport as Charleroi would help us raise our international profile.

For Brussels South Charleroi Airport, chips are a safe bet for passengers. Jean-Jacques CLOQUET, CEO, explains: “Belgian chips make everyone’s mouth water! What better way to start your journey than to take your time to taste some delicious Belgian chips? And is there any warmer welcome to Belgium than to tuck in to some delicious fries when you arrive here? With FRITAPAPA, the concept of a traditional Belgian chip shop comes to BSCA. Simple cuisine with quality ingredients that everybody loves, to give all our passengers a real treat. We had to showcase this Belgian tradition and offer it to our travellers; giving them a taste of Belgium when they leave as well as when they arrive.
