Punta Cana Airport Strengthens Its Track Record of Excellence with New International Recognition in Accessibility, Service, and Passenger Experience
The airport received the ACI World Level 1 Accessibility Accreditation, its ninth statuette as Best Airport in Latin America and the Caribbean in the 5 to 15 million passengers category, and, for the second consecutive year, the Level 3 Customer Experience Accreditation.
Punta Cana Airport has received the Level 1 Accessibility Accreditation Certification, a recognition that validates its commitment to developing a more inclusive airport experience for people with reduced mobility, awarded by Airports Council International World (ACI World).
The accreditation, granted under the guidelines of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), the resolution adopted by the ACI World General Assembly in 2019, and international best practices and recommendations, recognizes the airport’s strategy, policies, and initial initiatives implemented to advance accessibility.
This recognition was presented during a ceremony in which Punta Cana Airport also added new milestones to its track record of excellence. During the event, the airport received the statuette for Best Airport in Latin America and the Caribbean in the 5 to 15 million passengers category, earning its ninth statuette in this category.
Likewise, the airport was recognized for the second consecutive year with the Level 3 Customer Experience Accreditation, which recognizes progress and best practices aimed at strengthening the passenger experience and continuously raising service standards.
These recognitions reflect Punta Cana Airport’s continued evolution toward an operation where service is increasingly accessible and inclusive. They also reaffirm its commitment to continuing to strengthen initiatives that respond to the needs of its passengers and make their journey through the airport a more comfortable, independent, and safe experience.
