The crisis in the Middle East is causing oil and jet fuel prices to skyrocket. To protect the population and economy, the Polynesian government is releasing 13.4 billion francs. It is allocating 3.5 billion francs to the Hydrocarbon Price Regulation Fund to temporarily prevent increases in gas and electricity prices.
To prevent service disruptions and support touruism, Air Tahiti Nui is receiving 2.4 billion francs.
