SAS S12 European Operation Changes as of 15NOV11

As per 15NOV11 GDS timetable and inventory display, initial changes to SAS’ S12 European operation, effective 25MAR12, as follows.

As always there will be further changes made in the coming months.

Bergen – Nice Peak season in July/August 2012 operates 1 weekly, reduced from 1 in 2011
Copenhagen – Athens Increases from 7 weekly to 8 weekly
Copenhagen – Barcelona Reduces from 5 weekly to 2 weekly
Copenhagen – Bourgas Operation period reduced, from 27JUN12 to 12AUG12
Copenhagen – Geneva Increases from 2 to 3 Daily (Weekdays operation)
Copenhagen – Lyon Increases from 5 to 6 weekly
Copenhagen – Madrid Reduces from 4 to 2 weekly
Copenhagen – Munich Reduces from 5 to 4 Daily
Copenhagen – Pristina 04JUL12 – 22AUG12 Increases from 2 to 3 weekly
Copenhagen – Rome Peak season in July/August 2012 operates 11 weekly, reduced from 12 in 2011
Copenhagen – Venice Peak season in July/August 2012 operates Daily, increases from 6 weekly in 2011
Oslo – Alicante Peak season in July/August 2012 operates 9 weekly, increases from 8 weekly in 2011
Oslo – Barcelona Peak season in July/August 2012 operates 9 weekly, increases from Daily in 2011
Oslo – Dubrovnik Summer seasonal service increases from 2 to 3 weekly
Oslo – Palma Mallorca Peak season in July/August 2012 operates 1-2 weekly, reduced from 3 weekly in 2011
Oslo – Madrid Summer service in July/August CANCELLED
Oslo – Malaga Peak season in July/August 2012 operates 8 weekly, increases from Daily in 2011

Stockholm – London Heathrow Summer 2012 season (off-peak) operates 6 Daily, reduced from 7 in S11
Stockholm – Madrid Summer service in July/August CANCELLED
Stockholm – Milan Linate Increases from 6 weekly to Daily (except May 2012)
Stockholm – Milan Malpensa Service operates during off-peak season, 4-5 weekly
Stockholm – Munich 1 Daily service CANCELLED
Stockholm – Palma Mallorca Peak season in July/August 2012 operates 4 weekly, increases from 2 in S11
Stockholm – Prague off-peak season increases from 2 to 4 weekly
Stockholm – Split Summer seasonal service during peak season in July/August 2012 operates 4 weekly, increases from 2 weekly in 2011

Note the definition of “off-peak” used in this post is based on worldwide traffic standard, differ from SAS’ definition for European region – lower demand on key business routes during July/August. Therefore, some service increases will be scaled back or not operating in July/August 2012, or “peak season” being used by this site.
