Air Austral Ends Bangkok / Sydney / Noumea Service from Mar 2012

As per 15DEC11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Air Austral from 25MAR12 is cancelling service to Bangkok, Sydney and Noumea service.

The airline currently operates weekly St. Denis de la Reunion – Bangkok and 1-2 weekly St. Denis de la Reunion – Sydney – Noumea service with Boeing 777.

Air Austral launched its own scheduled service on this route from April 2011. Previously it codeshares with Air Madagascar, which the latter operates Antananarivo – St. Denis de la Reunion – Bangkok – Guangzhou. The cancellation means there will be no nonstop service between Reunion and East Asia.
