ANA Cancels Boeing 787 Operation in March: Feb/Mar 2013 International Service Changes

As per 07FEB13 GDS inventory display and airline announcement, ANA extends Boeing 787 service cancellations until 30MAR13 inclusive. As a result, a number of International services are being affected for the month of February and March 2013.

Latest International service changes from 14FEB13 to 30MAR13 as follow:
Tokyo Haneda – Beijing Boeing 767-300ER replaces 787
Tokyo Haneda – Frankfurt Boeing 777-200ER replaces 787 (Until 31MAR13)
Tokyo Narita – San Jose CA Service Cancelled
Tokyo Narita – Seattle Service operates on EVEN Days only with Boeing 777 (However, service on 04MAR13 is cancelled)

Following International services are being cancelled due to redeployment of aircraft:
Nagoya – Seoul Incheon Service cancelled on following period: 14FEB13 – 20FEB13, 04MAR13 – 21MAR13
Osaka Kansai – Qingdao Service cancelled on 07MAR13
Osaka Kansai – Seoul Incheon Service cancelled on following period: 14FEB13 – 20FEB13, 04MAR13 – 21MAR13
Tokyo Haneda – Seoul Gimpo NH1163/1164 cancelled on following: 15FEB13, 19FEB13 – 21FEB13, 26FEB13 – 27FEB13, 01MAR13 – 02MAR13, 13MAR13, 15MAR13, 23MAR13
Tokyo Narita – Seoul Incheon Service cancelled from 10FEB13 (Previously ANA to cancel this route from 31MAR13)

Domestic Boeing 787 operation also sees replacement aircraft operating or being cancelled until 30MAR13 inclusive. Recently, several media highlights the number of Boeing 787 flights being cancelled in its report. One should note that ANA is the largest Boeing 787 operator to-date, with 17 aircraft in service prior to grounding and most operates domestic routes with multiple daily frequencies, therefore number of Boeing 787 operating flights being cancelled are higher than other 787 operators.
