Virgin Atlantic Moves Last Scheduled Boeing 747 London Heathrow Operation to Feb 2016

Virgin Atlantic last week has made additional adjustments to planned winter 2015/16 operation, effective from 25OCT15 to 26MAR16. Latest adjustment includes planned last scheduled Boeing 747-400 operation at London Heathrow being moved to Feb 2016, instead of previously planned April 2016.

Boeing 747-400 London Heathrow Operation
Planned last Boeing 747-400 operation at London Heathrow is now scheduled on 20FEB16 (arrival to LHR on 21FEB16), instead of 17APR16. Planned 747-400 operation from 25OCT15 to 20FEB16 as follow:

London Heathrow – Miami VS005/006 Daily
London Heathrow – New York JFK VS009/010 5 weekly (Day x23)

Boeing 747-400 aircraft will continue to operate at London Gatwick.

Other winter 2015/16 operational changes as follow:
London Heathrow – Los Angeles 25OCT15 – 20DEC15 VS007/008 operates with A340-600, replacing 787-9. Previously the A340-600 was to operate for entire winter season (Overall up to 2 daily service on this route remains unchanged)
London Heathrow – Miami 21FEB16 – 22MAR16 Boeing 787-9 to operate on VS005/006, replacing 747-400
London Heathrow – Newark Airbus A340-600 operates on daily basis for entire winter season. Previously Boeing 787-9 scheduled to operate from 21FEB16
London Heathrow – New York JFK eff 21JAN16 Boeing 787-9 to operate this route once again, on VS045/046 5 times a week
