Austrian 2008/09 Winter Cuts

Austrian today announced the Winter 2008/09 overall capacity cuts. Its overall capacity will be reduced by 5% and it also plans to remove 3 aircraft from 2009.

On the long-haul service, overall capacity will be reduced by 21%.

Chicago will be suspended
New York JFK will be reduced from 6 to 5 weekly from mid-January
Washington will be reduced from Daily to 6 weekly from mid-January
Mumbai will be reduced from Daily to 5 weekly

Other long-haul destinations will see usual seasonal reductions

On European routes, London City will be suspended from 18AUG08. Flights to Western Europe will see individual cuts in the winter period as well.
