Emirates to launch Ahmedabad & increase service to India

A revised bilateral deal between the UAE and India has been reached last week, which allows Emirates to increase servics to India.

This includes the new service to Ahmedabad.


Dubai – Ahmedabad New 6 weekly service

Dubai – Chennai The flight will be gradually increased from existing 9 weekly to 14 weekly by Winter schedule (11 weekly A330-200 and 3 weekly Boeing 777-200)
Dubai – Delhi No change in frequencies (8 weekly), however most of the flights will be upgraded to Boeing 777-300ER (4 weekly 777-300ER, 2 weekly 777-300 and 2 weekly 777-200)
Dubai – Hyderabad Flight will be increased to 11 weekly from 8 weekly, which EK524/525 will go daily from 4 weekly (10 weekly A330-200 and 1 weekly Boeing 777-200)
Dubai – Kochi Flight gradually increase from 7 weekly to 10 weekly by August 2007 (7 weekly A330-200 and 3 weekly Boeing 777-200)
Dubai – Kolkata 7th weekly flight will be added from 01FEB08
Dubai – Mumbai Flight increasing to 21 weekly from 19. EK504/505 will be daily instead of 5 weekly as a result. Capacity is being increased with the 777-300ER operating most of the flights instead of a mix of 777-200ER, 777-300, 777-300ER and A330-200
