Austrian adds Los Angeles from April 2017; S17 long-haul changes

Austrian Airlines in summer 2017 season is launching new service to the US West Coast, with the opening of reservation for Vienna – Los Angeles route. From 10APR17, the airline will operate this route 5 times a week (Day x27), increasing to 6 weekly from 13JUN17. Boeing 777-200ER operates this route.

Coinciding with the service launch, the airline’s long-haul changes for summer 2017 include:
Vienna – Chicago O’Hare Boeing 767-300ER replaces 777-200ER, daily
Vienna – Miami Service will operate 5 weekly in S17, identical to S16. Previously listed as 6 weekly 767 service
Vienna – New York JFK overall service reduces from 7 to 6 weekly. New York JFK service will move to evening hours
